I am interested in exploring the intersection of impermanence, interconnectedness and compassion through an autobiographical investigation in creative practice. Past media include printmaking, bookbinding, gouache painting, film photography, performance and installation. My aim is to create visual works that stimulate a sense of shared experience that gives rise to a more empathetic engagement.

Orchids and Yellow jackets, detail (2010). Gouache on birch panel. 4′ x 4′.

Orchids and Yellow jackets is one of several gouache on wood paintings that work with self representation, autobiography, and dream/memory symbology as a means of understanding ones place in the present.
